Inspirational Month: Music group..

Simply Bradez!!

I’m sure every Ghanaian knows about Bradez, polopular hiplife/ hipop group made up of two blood brothers .  Kwaku Nsiah Amankwah A.K.A (Kunta kinte)  who happens to be the junior brother of Kwaku Nsiah Boamah A.K.A Flowking Stone. Their first major album was released in 2005 called Efiri Fie, on which were popular tracks like One Gallon(419) which enjoyed a lot of airplay on MTV Base.

The boys also happen to be the junior brothers of * Rap Doctor* Okyeame Kwame the 2009 Ghana Music AwardsArtiste of the Year’.  Not only do the talented mucisans excel vocally, but their academics seem to be on point!  Stone da Flowking completed Kwame Nkrumah University of Science and Technology in 2007 where he studied BSC Biochemistry. Kunta Kinte is currently in 2nd year student at the University of Ghana studying Fine Art. They’ve collaborated with the likes of Daddy Lumba (DL), Okyeame Kwame, Kwabena kwabena,Obour, Nana Fynn, Asem, richie, Kakyire Kwame Appiah, Tinny, Samini, Kofi B, Flavor(Nigeria) and host of others.

Their immaculate vision is to be the best musicians in Ghana  and across the whole Globe. I had a quick catch up with the duo.

Mefiri Ghana: Tell the Mefiri Ghana team your Aims & goals?

Bradez: To do all things through Christ who strengthens. It’s not simply about what you are giving but what you make of it. And all the things that work together for our good.

Mefiri Ghana: Why the name Bradez ?

Bradez: Well because we are a family we have with our fans plus we are both from same parents.

Mefiri Ghana: Can you imagine yourself doing anything else apart from music?

Bradez: We will expand with other things, but music remains our heartbeat.

The Bradez Foundation visits the senior high schools and perform free shows for the students and explain to them the simple importance of why they should stay in school and build on their talents the same time.

This is pure inspiration. These young artists not only appreciate their talent, but they also appreciate the motherland and the opportunities made available to them. They do everything they can, and with time, commitment, and courage they give back and to those who are less privileged.

With this month being Ghana Independence month, people tend to focus more on the celebration when really we should be focussing on giving back to Ghana, the Sweet Motherland.

This has to be the quote of the month for me by BRADEZ:  “ Music remains in our heartbeat”.
