New Hit Single by D Black called Oh Vera!

The new swag hit by the one and only D-Black.

I guarantee you if you listen to this azonto/ hip hop tune you’ll be singing it throughout the whole week! Yep I guarantee, with the catchy pidgin lyrics “Ebi me wey you do me Like dat?”

The music video features a newly fresh signed artist by D- Black, who goes by the name Joey B( check him out guys). My great applauds to the creative Mr Zeph who filmed and edited the music video.

This music video has set the bar for me, especially when it comes to the Ghana hip-hop scene. The high school swag, hip hop theme and creative animation all worked effectively for me.

A successful video yet again by D- Black.

In the music video we see how D- Black truly loved “VERA”, however the beautiful, curvaceous “VERA” has more cards to play other than just the poor D- Black. He scrambles to keep her through reminiscing all he has done for her, but sadly fails when she’s off again with another fella.

“Herh! I fool Paa I now see… Ooh VERA”.

Check out the Video! And tell us what you think.

Music news…

Ghanaian RnB singer Chemphe

R n B is currently on a very slow pace due to few involvements as compared to Hip life and Hip-hop, and has led to the genre being sidelined by most award concerts in the country. Chemphe is very passionate about the growth of R n B in the country and has pledged to boost it to a greater height in the country this year by various R n B rave concerts. He is expected to release his double album in summer 2012. The ‘New Day’ album which was released in Norway last year was one of the fastest selling on iTunes in the YMCAs calendar.

Chemphe is set to release a full album entitled ‘Purple Kiss’ which has hit singles ‘Number 1’ featuring Dr Cryme, ‘Kiss Me’ featuring 4×4 and Funny Face, ‘Left Over’ featuring Laxio, ‘Independent Lady’ featuring
Ball J
and more. E-Jam Records, the official management team addressed the public in a separate interview that Chemphe will concentrate on performances in Ghana this year since the artiste spent most of his time performing on international platforms in 2010 and 2011. They added that the artiste has really improved on his stage performances and will be a very good addition to any world-class event.

This Saturday 21st April 2012 at the Paragon Night Club in Takoradi (Western Region, Ghana), the public will witness the official launch of the first ever R n B rave in Ghana dubbed Oil City Rave. E-Jam Records mentioned that it’s about time the country gets used to rhythm and blues to help grow and put Ghana on the International platform. Adez, FOI and Scooby Seela are just few of the artists scheduled to perform, with DJ Nyaami providing great songs for the night. The programme is powered by Jamming Spot on Zepto, Bongani Jewels, Paragon Fm, Viasat 1, stepoutghana.com, ameyawdebrah.com, ghanamusic.com, ghanacelebrities.com, Gino xxl Amsterdam and more.

Another hit in the making…?

Nana Boroo and SK Original team up again for new track!

Remember the highly popular track ‘Ahayede’ by Nana Boroo and SK Original back in 2010 and the ensuing controversy about which artist owned the rights to the song? Well it seems that Nana Boroo and S.K Original have decided to bury the hatchet by hooking up again on another track.

According to SK, real name Sokpo Kokou Fabrice, Boroo called him last month to feature on his new track entitled ‘Nsem Pii’. He agreed to feature on the track to show the youth and fellow musicians that all is forgiven and forgotten between the two.

He further elaborated, “When you are at peace with everyone, God showers his blessings on you. You cannot continue to be at war with people and expect God to bless you. ‘Nsem Pii’ is a wonderful piece and I also have a couple of tracks I want to feature Nana Boroo on.”

‘Nsem Pii’, which was recorded by Kilbeatz, according to Nana Boro, is set to be a big hit once it hits the air waves.

Speaking about the reconciliation with SK, Boroo added, “I believe the two of us can make a very big impact when we team up. It is normal for people to misunderstand each other sometimes but that does not mean they must forever be enemies. There was a misunderstanding between us and thank God we are back again.”
