Ghana’s Under-20 lost 2-1 to Sierra Leone on Saturday night in the final of the African International Youth tournament.
The Black Stars opened the scoring but were later unable to maintain their lead as Sierra Leone snatched two goals to become the victors; although they were said to be helped by some contentious refereeing decisions.
The Ghana Team looked tired on the pitch. This is of no suprise given that they had endured their semi-final clash against Gambia which went to a penalty shoot-out, a day before the final match was played!
Last year, the youth team of Ghanaian side Liberty Professionals lost to BYC of Liberia in the final of the maiden edition.
