Do you want to do your bit to help the victims of the recent flood and gas explosion last month in Ghana? AND get fit at the same time? Then keep reading >>>

So its been just over a month and families are still broken and sadness continues to rest upon Ghana due to the unfortunate incident which took place in Accra on Wednesday 3rd June – Thursday 4th June. Yes, some may blame poor sanitation, poor education, poor governance, yet it will not change the fact that an estimated whopping 50M Ghc worth of property and businesses has been lost and over 200 people have died. We need to do something!

Clearly, a 5K run would have been challenging for you all so we have decided to get you FIT instead, whilst raising money for the Accra Flood victims!!!

ADAP, iSpace, Radical Leap and Divas On Demand have come together as the ‘The Community Action Relief Group’ along with devoted members of our community both here in the UK and in Ghana to assist those in NEED.

It is the responsibility of us all to DO SOMETHING! And thus, I urge you to join our appeal by participating in our ‘Fitness 4 Flood’ initiative which will take place on Saturday, 18th July 2015 at Finsbury Park from @ 11am-3pm.

Remembering the Accra flood and fire victims

Ghana High Commission to hold memorial service for fire and flood victims

The tragic events of last week Wednesday night in Accra, in which heavy floods and an explosion at a goil fuel station resulted in the loss of nearly 200 lives will never be forgotten. We’ve all seen the horrific images and videos of the aftermath and together, the whole of Ghana have, and still mourn all those who lost their lives. Ghanaians have never come together as we have these past few days in recent memory.

And it is in solidarity with our brothers and sister back home, that the Ghana High Commission, in collaboration with the Ghana Christian Council in the UK, have invited all Ghanaians in the UK  and sympathizers to a memorial service for all those who unfortunately lost their lives in the fire and floods. The details for the service are as follows:

Venue: Methodist Central Hall, Storeys Gate, London, SW1H 9NH
Date: Sunday 14thh June
Time: 2:00pm

Let us all come together to pay our respects and remember those who are no longer with us.
