EDEM “Over again” Track Hits the Airwaves IN Ghana!!
EDEM’S latest single receives Massive Hype in GH..
Edem is known for his popular hits such as: ‘U Dey Craze’, ‘Bra Fremi Fremi’, ‘Nyornuviade’, ‘Give It Up’ and many more. Edem has done massive collaborations with other Ghanaian acts such as Ghana’s pride Samini, the tongue-twisting Sarkodie, the ‘mad’ artist Kwaw Kesse and many more.
However his fresh new track ‘Over Again’ is receiving massive hype everywhere in Ghana – Tema, Takoradi, Kwahu, Accra. This tune was played and played, especially during the Easter festivities. There have been rumours that the official video for this song is yet to be shot again due to the quality, however that is yet to be confirmed.
The rapper uses pidgin dialect in the song which gives it that fierce sound, making it easy to relate to. I love the fact that Edem does all his music in the local Ewe language and he is the most notable rapper in the dialect at the moment. Yess! “ The most notable rapper”
The beautiful Ghanaian sun is pretty energy-draining so I try to stay indoors during the day and go out after sun set. That works well for me since most of the mates I’d hang with would have closed from work by sunset. But when I do make it out during the day I try and stay at one spot for as much as possible as long as the food and service is good.
So I’m at one such hangout somewhere in Labone with Kobi and Ruth. The food and
service is pretty much standard at this place. But that’s not why I come here. I because I have fallen in love…with the paintings in the restaurant! Anytime I walk in there I feel like coming back in the middle of the night and nicking every single one of them.
The service today had been great up until Ruth ordered a Four Cheese pizza. I’m a homemade pizza expert and Ruth is crazy about cheese, so with our combined knowledge we knew at the first site what turned up on our table was not a Four Cheese Pizza. It was more like a four cheat pizza, it only had a thin layer of mozzarella cheese on it.
Two unhappy customers went up to the waiter to ask if he thought that looked like a four cheese pizza. It wasn’t surprising when he answered yes! But I got a bit worried when the chefs also insisted what we have been served was a four cheese pizza. So we went up to the manager and he was swift to apologise but he had already lost a customer in Ruth and maybe Kobi.
I still do go there, but that’s only because I go there for some other reason other than the food. It’s clear to me the manager understands the importance of keeping his customers happy but his workers on the other hand do not quite appreciate this fact. I know customer service in Ghana is ridiculously appalling but its way better than what it used to be years ago and there is definitely loads of room for improvement! It’s no use if the head of a service provider knows how to treat his customers but the workers- who are constantly interacting with customers- do not appreciate the power of the customer. Service providers in Ghana need to improve customer service relations, but it looks like they need a bit of encouragement- Ghanaian customers need to start making a scene if the service they pay for is below standard! It seems to be the only language these service providers understand.

The Modelling industry has and will always be discriminatory, as of owning the perfect figure and features in order to Model. Modelling companies and Agencies have classed us humans as being Too fat, Too Stubby, Too Short, or even Too Curvy to MODEL…

Our common goal and vision is to include young ladies who never believed they could make it into any Modelling Agency because they were against the odds. We have a strong team behind our young and ambitious beautiful models who are the backbone of our Agency.
BMOP promote a positive and pressure free working environment for our Models where they can feel loved, accepted and be safe. We believe that God has made every Model uniquely and we want to represent them knowing this also encouraging them to embrace this.

We thank you for breaking the chain of repetitive rejections of models due to the high specific expectations required from models. MeFiRi GHANA Meets GH Rising Black Star Akua. Busia
Young Ghanaian Talents are rising in the UK, especially with many unsigned and unseen.
MeFiRi GHANA managed to catch up with the Talented Young Akua Busia.
Know Who She Is???
Of only 18 years, she goes by the name Akua Busia or Akua B,
She Fed us with more Info About Herself……
“I write songs and I sing, I am mainly based on YouTube where I showcase my talent and I have performed at events. However I hope to perform much more this year as well as record more videos and come out of my shell with more material in the studio area. Currently I am working with an upcoming producer called Tobi Shyboy.”
1) What Influenced You To Start Singing?
Beyoncé was probably my biggest inspiration since listening to her music. From the age of 10 she really made me love music.
My dad also had a big collection of CDs, from Mariah Carey to Whitney Houston to Celine Dion and I always used to pick up the lyrics so quickly and sing along with them, copying the way they sang. Over the years I have had a wide range of artists influence my song writing and my love for music such as Jojo, Alicia Keys and Adele.
The list goes on. In terms of singing in TWI, on my trip to Ghana in 2010 I heard a song by Irene Logan ‘Runaway’ and because I never really heard a Ghanaian female artist singing a song in TWI, I actually just fell in love with it.
2) How much does singing mean to you?
There’s no limit to be honest with you. It was a God given talent and all I can do is be grateful. I have no choice but to love what God gave me.
3) Share With the Team your Best Motivation Line?
Every time I am going through something difficult, I was always tell myself ‘God didn’t give me this opportunity if he knew I couldn’t do it.’ I’ve always believed this because I know that any challenges I am faced with, either big or small, can be done with faith.
4) Tell Us, Where did you grow up?
I grew up and was raised in Camberwell, South London.
5) Tell The Team, Are You Proud To State MeFiRi GHANA?
Of course! I have always been proud to say MeFiRi Ghana. Anyone who knows me well enough knows how much I love being Ghanaian.
6) We Want To Know More…What do you Love about GHANA & Why Do you love being GHANAIAN?
I love a lot of things about Ghana. My love for Fan Ice, the beaches, Papaye, Frankie’s Ice cream and the weather will never grow old. The music from highlife to hip-life, the language, the food and the culture! My dad made sure I knew where I came from and I’m really grateful for that.
7) Have you heard of MeFiRi GHANA Before? What Do You Think Of US?
Yes, I heard about MeFiRi Ghana on Facebook a few years back and I really think the brand has progressed well and are continuing to progress. Nearly everyone I tell about MeFiRi Ghana knows about them already.
8) Have you worked with us ‘MeFiRi GHANA‘ before & how did you find it?
I have worked with Me FiRi GHANA a few times. My first time was for their WAM campaign press launch which I really enjoyed because I was surrounded by such successful people who I really aspired to be like.
I was given the opportunity to sing in front of Sway Dasafo which was what I had always wanted to do so I am really thankful for that opportunity. I also worked for them at Ghana Party in the Park in 2011 by interviewing people about Ghana and I really enjoyed that experience.
9) SO Tell Us….What Are Your Future Aspirations, What do you wish to Achieve?
By God’s grace, I plan to successfully open my career in the music industry and become a singer. If that does not work out, I plan to work in the field of finance since I also have a passion for Economics and Finance as well as singing.
10) So currently tell us, What are you doing at the moment?
I am currently at University studying a degree in Accounting and Finance. Apart from that, I plan on making more music with Tobi Shyboy in the summer, I am still recording singing videos on you tube every once in a while as well.

You can catch up with my latest videos on my; *You tube channel:‘MissAkuaB*, *My Twitter: @MissAkua_x* and *My Facebook page: Akua Busia*
